Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me.

Sadly I will be alone for this one. Matt had to do a concert he didn't want to do, so I will be live tweeting (humonlazydiva) my impression of the whole shebang.

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

Hello everyone! <3

I know, Im again bad about updating anything.  I have so many new things to photograph and scan, and I will try to start updating DA Again.

I've tilted what Im focusing on now - its been long years of internal debate and doubt of myself as an artist.  I look around at what "everyone else" is doing and feel like Im just inadequate.  I have for a long time.

But now that I have began making bath and beauty products - and painting labels - I feel that is the perfect happy medium.  I am still doing art, but it is more than just a small piece of paper I feel guilty about not painting larger, or with a better background, or a million other things.

So, there will be a new focus on Bath and Beauty products! I will take some pictures next week!

I thought it was lovely what you did. I love the new product and the scents you have are very nice. Your art style is great. I think this maybe a bad place to excel in art/ "your" own style without doing fanart related pictures.
